Enhanced Inspections are performed Monday – Friday, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays based upon the availability of the inspectors.

A rate of $150.00 per hour is the fee for enhanced inspections. Be advised that some inspections require two inspectors. Also, a minimum of one hour travel time fee of ($75.00) will be added to the total fee.

Enhanced Plan Review requires two plans analyst for the review at a rate of $150.00 per hour, per person. Enhanced review is available Monday – Friday, 4 pm – 8 pm and on Saturdays depending on personnel availability.

If Inspection or Plan Review runs over ten minutes it will be rounded to the next hour. Failure to request an enhanced inspection / Plan review 24 hours in advance will result in a re-inspection fee of 4 times the regular fee per inspector plus the overtime fee.

Customer must pay for the overtime within 24 hours after the inspection/plan review has been done at the Cashier located on the first floor of City Hall. Additional overtime will not be approved until payment is received. An invoice (MCR) to take to the cashier will be provided by the Fire Protection Analyst. The customer must fax a copy of the paid receipt (MCR) to our office.

The Fire Department is responsible for carrying out our mission statement through the efforts of the Fire Administration Section, the Fire Suppression Division, the Fire Rescue Division, the Fire Prevention Division, the Support Services Division and the Ocean Rescue Division.

Services are provided to the community from four Fire Stations that are placed to allow for rapid response to anywhere in the City. The Fire Administration, Support Services and Ocean Rescue Divisions provide service from their own facilities.
