City of Miami Beach Rent/Mortgage/Utility Assistance Funds


Rental Application Fee Reimbursement Program

Households earning up to 120% Area Median Income will be able to receive a reimbursement of 80% of their rental application fee, up to $500 per year.

The income limits for 2024 are:

Miami-Dade County 

(Miami-Miami Beach-Kendall HMFA; Miami-Ft. Lauderdale Pompano Beach

All households will be required to provide documentation to certify their income and expenses incurred for application fee(s); multiple applications will be accepted, but the reimbursement amount will not exceed $500. Examples of this documentation include receipts or copies of money orders for properties within city limits. Upon approval, a check for the amount approved will be mailed to the household.

Applicants must provide the following documents and meet the income eligibility requirements:

Required Documentation:

.Florida-issued Driver’s License or Identification Card (valid and reflecting the address for which the applicant is seeking rent assistance)

.Social Security card for every household member (listing name that matches government-issued identification provided)

.U.S. birth certificate

.U.S. citizenship or residency (certificate, card or valid passport)

.Last three (3) months of Financial Statements
